Delete Your Account

You can delete your CoCoBun account and your family's data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

1) The fastest way: delete it in the app

If you still have CoCoBun installed, this is the quickest route and it takes effect straight away.

1. Open CoCoBun and go to Settings.
2. Pass the parent gate with your passcode.
3. Choose Delete All Data and confirm.

2) If you no longer have the app

If you have already removed CoCoBun from your device, lost the device, or simply can't get into the account, fill in the form below and we will handle it for you. You can also just email privacy@cocobunai.com from the address on the account.

What happens next

• We send a confirmation email to the address on the account, so nobody else can delete it.
• We complete the deletion and purge the data within 30 days.
• Deleted data may remain in our encrypted backups for up to 90 days before those backups are fully purged.
• If instead you asked to see what we hold, we reply within 45 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account and the parent email on it.
• Every child profile: nickname, age range, and settings.
• Every story your family created, including the text, illustrations and audio.
• Your voice models. (The original voice recordings were already deleted when the voices were created — we never stored them.)
• Any stories you published to CoCo's Library. These are unpublished and removed.
• Activity data, if you had parental monitoring switched on.

What we may keep

We may keep a minimal record that a deletion request was made and completed, plus anything we are required by law to retain — for example, basic transaction records for tax purposes. These records do not contain your child's information.

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google rather than by us. Please cancel it yourself:

• iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → CoCoBun → Cancel Subscription.
• Android: Google Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → CoCoBun → Cancel.

Deleting the app on its own does not cancel a subscription or delete your account.

If you'd rather do nothing

You don't have to do anything at all. If nobody signs in to an account, we email at 3 months to check in, email again at 5 months to warn you, and permanently delete the account and everything in it at 6 months. Removing the app from your device does not by itself delete the account.

Just want to delete some of it?

You don't have to delete everything. Inside the app you can delete a single story, a child profile, or a voice model on its own — or use the form above and tell us which.
